A restaurant selling airline food and meals? Why not?
Well, it’s certainly an unusual concept, but it sure attracts many netizens and the employees who work near Midvalley or KL area.
Opened in Mid Valley KL, AirAsia’s in-flight menu brand, Santan and T&CO, launched its first ASEAN fast-food restaurant last Monday.
Now, fans of Pak Nasser’s nasi lemak and many more popular AirAsia inflight meals can now head over to MidValley Megamall to get their cravings fixed at the airline’s first flagship fast food joint, Santan Restaurant, and T&CO Cafe.
Foodie lovers can also enjoy a taste of Malaysian flavours such as nasi padang beef rendang, nyonya curry laksa, fried chicken with nam prik and chicken satay with peanut sauce. Yum! Sounds good, isn’t it?
30% of the restaurant’s menu was derived from AirAsia’s existing in-flight menu whereas the rest of the menu at Santan Restaurant was developed by a team of chefs and culinary arts students.
What’s more? There are also set meals that come with a drink and they’re priced as low as RM11!
The combo menu consists of 15 different dishes and you can complete your meal with a refreshing beverage, choosing from Coconut water, Calamansi oolong tea, Chrysanthemum, or Roselle iced tea of your choice.
