Attention to everyone out there who loves to travel or is a frequent traveller!!!
Starting from 1stof June 2019, there will be an extra charge of departure tax set in the price of every international flight ticket.
The departure levy to be charged on every international departure from Malaysia will be RM20 to ASEAN countries and RM40 to other international destinations.
That’s not all, Malaysia Airlines will also be charging fees for check-in baggage for passengers flying economic lite for domestic flights starting from 8thof April.
While there is no more free check-in baggage for passengers, passengers are still entitled to a maximum 7kg hand-carry baggage allowance.
Fret not, the check-in baggage allowance for international flights still remain unchanged. Phew!
For those who already booked your flight before 8thof April, your original check-in baggage allowance will not be affected so don’t you worry!
According to Malaysia Airlines, the purpose of implementing this new policy is to provide customers with more flexibility and choice to enjoy a more personalized and tailor-made travel experience based on their requirements.
Now that we’re clear with all the new impositions, we gotta spend wisely on future travel plans!
