Now that’s festive!
On Monday 25, which is just a few days ago, the Guinness World Records organization honored American legendary pop diva Mariah Carey with not one, not two, but a total of three holiday-themed world records, thanks to her enduring legacy of 1994 holiday hit track ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’.
Dubbed the ‘Songbird Supreme’ by the Guinness World Records, the multi-talented artist attained a trio of certificates, including highest-charting holiday (Christmas/New Year) song on the U.S Hot 100 chart by a solo artist, most-streamed track on Spotify in 24 hours (female) and most weeks in the U.K. singles top 10 chart for a Christmas song.
All three records will be featured in the Guinness World Records 2020 book edition.

The pop star celebrated her outstanding achievement on Instagram with photos of herself clad in an appropriately sparkly ‘Nutcracker’ ensemble and flanked by her two kids, looking equally festive in their red and green attire on Monday. She received the awards during a show in Las Vegas on her ‘All I Want for Christmas Is You’ tour.
Besides, Carey also holds the record for most U.S No.1 singles by a solo artist after 18 of her tracks topped the American charts, putting her one ahead of Elvis Presley, who has the most U.S. No.1 singles by a male solo artist.
Born in New York, the multi-talented artist is noted for her five-octave vocal range, vocal power, melismatic style and use of the whistle register – the highest register of a human voice.
Since her debut in 1990 with her first album ‘Mariah Carey’, the legendary diva has released 14 albums including ‘Emotions’, ‘Merry Christmas’, ‘Butterfly’, and ‘Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel’.
Congratulations to the legendary singer Mariah Carey and her outstanding breakthrough in securing 3 Guinness World Records Awards! Amazingly talented.
