Pokémon Let’s Go Pikachu and Pokémon Let’s Go Eevee are new Pokémon games coming out for the Nintendo Switch.
The game was announced in May this year but recently got a new trailer that shows off all the amazing new features players can expect in the game.
The trailer above showcases a game that will let players explore the ‘Kanto region’ of Pokémon (the region from the very first games with the first 150 Pokémon for us to catch) in a more detailed and fun way than ever before.
The familiar gameplay of Pokémon games is back with a major visual overhaul that makes it look gorgeous.
It also shows the player character (who can be either male or female) riding around on large Pokémon such as Charizard and Onyx, while smaller Pokémon such as Pikachu and Eevee follows the player around.
Even Magikarp is able to flop along, after the player!
Riding Pokémon around like horses has been a dream for many fans for several years and it’s nice to be able to do it in a game with such a high level of detail. I remember having so much fun using cheats for pokemon fire red.
The trailer also showcased Pokémon battles, both against trainers and Gym Leaders. Brock and Misty show up in the trailer, meaning that the rest of the original Gym Leaders can’t be far behind.
Another interesting feature is the ability to customize your Pokémon by giving them cute hairstyles and outfits!
This is something many fans never knew they wanted but now that the option is here, we can’t stop imagining the cute outfit and hair combos we’d give our cute little friends!
Also, Trainers can wear matching outfits, which is just the best thing ever!
The two games are intended to be newcomer friendly and open the series up for people who have never played a Pokémon game before.
Additionally, co-op options are available for you and your friends to explore Kanto together, support each other in battle, trade Pokémon, and even battle each other!
The co-op functionality exists for both local and online play, which is just several dreams come true.
The last and most important feature is the ability to pet your Pokémon to show them love, which is something every trainer should do.
The game is confirmed to come out to the Nintendo Switch on the 16th of November.
We at Sevenpie can’t wait to finally get the chance to ride a Lapras, battle the Gym Leader Erica, and capture a 100 of our favorite Pokémon… which is Caterpie.
Why Caterpie?
Well, It’s green and has the word ‘pie’ in it, which makes it the best Pokémon in our opinion.
