With the advancement of technology of today, things have become so modern, so fast that we forgot how things used to be.
From fashion to technology and entertainment, these things would be entertaining if the were used today. Here are the 5 things we wished made a comeback.
1. Apple fashion line
Wait…Apple used to have a fashion line?
It’s hard to believe that Apple, a company that now sells iPhones, iPads and computer lines used to sell fashion in the 1980s. What?
The shirt looks simple, yet it reflects the company’s spirit by using it’s rainbow-colored logo back then.
2. Flip phones
Remember the time when flip phones were a thing? That feeling when you close your flip phones makes you feel like you have class.
The QWERTY keyboard, the portable, and how it can easily fit the smallest of a pocket.
Nowadays phones are nearly all smartphones, with Android and Apple being the dominant players. Although flip phones are making their way to be the smartphone way, they break the bank if you but them.
3. Cereal box prizes
When I was a kid, I have always urged my parents to buy me lots of cereal boxes that have a “prize inside” label. The prizes inside were random, so it was a hit and miss. When I did win, I won prizes such as a toy, a puzzle. The luckiest I was when I got a game, which was if I recall correctly, a “Zoo Tycoon” where you build a zoo and manage it.
Cereal box with prizes should make a comeback, and it should be targeted towards adults too. They should make something interesting that would push us to buy, such as a gift card or free coupons.
4. Instant Polaroid cameras that are reasonably priced
Before smartphones were around, Polaroid Instant Cameras were the way to capture the moment. They immediately print out the photos and the result it gives is a distinctive, memorable vibe after a good time out with friends and family.
Instant cameras are out here, but with a price. Now, many people prefer to take pics with a smartphone to capture the moment, but the trend of using polaroid to capture the moment is also rising. Perhaps this would be the way to immortalize memorable moments that gives off a vintage feel!
5. Getting actual letters in the mailbox
Nowadays we prefer to send letters by email and text due to their speed and convenience. Post Box are still a thing, and they are mainly used to send over bills, mailers, etc. It’s as if mailboxes have lost the spirit of being human. Now it’s just bills, bills and bills.
I miss the time when we write letters expressing our interest, romance to each other. Is it possible If we do that today? I certainly think so! Sending birthday gift cards, greeting cards, and gifts seem to be the perfect way to send through mail.
