The passing of Robin Williams had led to a tremendous scar to our hearts as the brilliant actor has entertained us since our childhood days with his comedic yet emotional act in various classic movies from the past decade. He was considered as our childhood hero. In remembrance of the legendary idol, here are some of his memorable movies that would be worth watching again.
1) Jumanji
Robin Williams plays the character of an adult Alan who was sucked into the supernatural Ouija board-like game Jumanji years ago when he was a child. Having to live in the board game of jungle environment for years, Williams character was eventually freed to the reality world when two kids started to play the game again. Together they will need to face any challenges and monstrous animals spawned from the game to revert the consequences.
2) Aladdin
The Genie wouldn’t be Genie without the humorous voice provided by Robin Williams in the 1992 Disney’s fantasy fairy tale as the journey of Aladdin in impressing Princess Jasmine would not be complete without the entertaining sarcasm by the legendary actor.
3) Mrs Doubtfire
This golden tearful story of a divorced actor who dressed up as a female housekeeper just to get along with his children was strong in conveying the message of family to audience. Robin Williams was spectacular in the portrayal of the bubbly, funny lady that he was granted the Golden Globe award for Best Actor.
4) Flubber
Flubber was a childhood movie to kids of the 90s, where Williams’s character was a professor who created an extraordinary living green goo that loves bouncing off around wreaking the place which everyone wants to get a hand on.
5) Hook
Robin takes on the iconic role of an elderly Peter Pan in this different, unique tale of the boy from Neverland, having to return there with no memories and a non-believer of the magical land. Though this movie features the elderly Pan, it does have some magical moments that would tingle the nostalgic rush of us watching this classic as a kid.
6) Good Will Hunting
Good guy Robin serves as a therapist to a high IQ level genius type of guy who happens to work only as a janitor after he got arrested for attacking a police officer in this story written by Matt Damon and Ben Affleck with Damon as the lead character. The movie was welcomed with positive reviews and had Williams won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.
7) Night at the Museum
Robin Williams was an excellent addition to casts of the story where everything in the museum of Natural History comes back to life at night including himself as the supreme Teddy Roosevelt.
