Congratulations to the newly crowned Miss World Malaysia 2019!
TV host and actress Alexis SueAnn, 25 has been crown as the Miss World Malaysia 2019 on Sunday night! The prestigious ceremony was held at Mega Star Arena, Kuala Lumpur.
Alexis SueAnn has achieved quite a feat before her winning Miss World. At 16, she was part of a team that climbed Mt Kinabalu for a cause: Raise RM50,000 for the National Cancer Society.
24 contestants were shortlisted for the pageant contest, but only one could be crowned as Queen. And the contestants are not your ordinary plain Jane; they consist of some of the brightest and stunning looking Malaysian ladies who are medical doctors, lawyers, actresses, entrepreneurs, and even teachers!
Talk about beauty with brains.
Yet the purpose of this annual initiative isn’t just for looks and style. It is more than that. This year, the organizers decided to take beauty further with their campaign “Beauty with A Purpose”. As part of the campaign, Alexis initiated a project of her own, #Chance4Change. This initiative of hers is, as quoted by Alexis on her Instagram”Spread the hope, Save the judgements.” In collaboration with Orphancare Foundation, Baby Hatch aims to focus on providing awareness and education on baby dumping, and sexual grooming for youths in colleges as well as sustainable income solution for teen and single mothers.

“And the fears that once controlled me, can’t get to me at all” ✨One is my all time fav song that instils headstrong values to viewers through the magic of animations 😭❤️ The ability to teach children the importance of ACKNOWLEDGING your fears and then using them to PROPEL yourself to better and greater heights, is probably one of THE MOST important life skill to teach when it comes to providing for a child’s emotional development. An attribute that every child should be able to learn to obtain ❤️
The two runner ups of the night were Juliana Sambai from Sarawak and Melissa Jespoh, both intelligent and successful in their own right!
