Are you running out of places to lepak with your friends over the weekend? Fret not, because these are the 4 new gems which we think you should totally check them out soon!
1. @theotherhalfcafe
What have caught my attention the most is the simple and clean design from its outfitted space, menu design, and Instagram feed. The newly launched cafe is located at TTDI and is co-founded by a barista at Melbourne’s Operator25 Café, Eugene Lee.
The bar wall and crossword wall are super insta-worthy, so don’t forget to grab a snap to proof to your pals that you’ve been there.
Their menu is designated by Brazilian chef Guilherme Hayama. Their food somehow makes people feel complete as what its name called, The Other Half. You can definitely find ‘your other half’ here in the form of food.
The Other Half Café do provide a specially put together afternoon tea set which is in collaboration with #BAZAARPinkProject2017 to raise awareness for breast cancer.
2. @thealley.my
When Malaysians talk about ‘milk tea’, or ‘pearls’, the first few brands that come in mind is definitely TeaLive, GongCha, or KOI. From now on, however, pearl milk tea lovers can have their cravings satiated at The Alley.
The Alley’s latest products are: 1- Brown Sugar Deerioca Milk, 2- Brown Sugar Deerioca Dark Chocolate, and 3- Brown sugar Deerioca Matcha Latte.
The Alley insists on handmade (knead and roll) the dough into smaller balls to maintain the texture and sweet smell of its Deerioca (pearls). They process their own fresh and natural sugar cane syrup to obtain the original sweetness of sugar canes.
Apart from Deerioca series and Milk Tea series, The Alley also well-known for their Aurora series of beverages, Morning Sunshine and Northern Lights. The drinks made up of three bright colors which will definitely cheer people up.
3. @craftorigin
A minimalist themed café space, tableware, brand logo, and Instagram feed. As I’m searching for cafés for afternoon tea, I found this, Craft Origin. It attracts me in the sense of the way their Instagram pictures are taken and how they arrange the feed. It makes me feel extremely comfortable, and a place I would definitely spend my afternoon at.
The smell of freshly brewed coffee greeted me as I walk through the doors instantly captured my attention. It feels completely different from the other cafés I’ve been to. It is usually a norm to hear the sound of coffee maker working hard at the background in most cafés but at Craft Origin, their idea is slow motion filter brewing with suitable temperature to ensure the fully extraction of the coffee beans.
Other than coffee, Craft Origin serves food such as cakes, craft bowl, main course, French toast, salad, and etc. The cakes are very unique in flavours.
4. @dungunkl

Dungun provides simple yet satisfying meals, such as roasted chicken with mash, tomato based spaghetti, chicken and cheese sandwich, chicken parmigiana and etc. The portion of each meal are just fine for lunch so it will not induce you to sleep mode.
If you feel like having an afternoon tea break after you long day of work, Dungun will be the best choice as it serves several house-baked cakes. A cup of coffee or tea will then be the best companion with cakes.
