Whenever my parents hurry me to the airport, I will thought to myself “OMG, later I’m going to sit in the McD for one hour!”. Hands up to those who shares the same sentiments as I do! Fortunately for us, KLIA2 has opened up a whole new world of food joints and kiosks for those who are jetting in and out from there.
Read on as I’ll take you on a voyage of food and beverage, only at KLIA2!
#1 Family Mart
Family Mart is expanding their outlet in many places, almost every town and shopping malls, university in KL such as Damansara Uptwon, SS15, Bandar Sunway, MidValley, Paradigm Mall, MyTown, Taylor’s Lakeside and of course Gateway@KLIA2. It is a Japan convenience store that is popular with its soft serve ice cream, onigiri, oden, bento, and hot snacks.
#2 Isaac Toast & Coffee
Isaac Toast & Coffee is originally from Korea correctly has two outlets in Malaysia, KLIA2 and Paradigm Mall, Johor. This is definitely a good place to have breakfast during early morning flight or for tea time. It is well-known of its Hot Chicken MVP Toast, Special Ham Toast, Coffee, Yoghurt Smoothies and etc.
#3 Boat Noodle
Most of us are pretty familiar with Boat Noodle that sells Thai Boat Noodle, rice, and snacks. Boat Noodle has recently opened its new outlet in Gateway@KLIA2. It also come out with more variety of food in their new menu such as Pad Thai, Mantou and Patongko, Thai Fried Chicken, Crispy Somtam and Prosperity Yum.
#4 Liang Sandwich Bar
Liang Sandwich Bar is a Taiwanese Onion Pancake, it is also known as hand grasp bread. It contains ingredients like egg, bacon and vegetable to match with the hand grasp bread. Liang Sandwich Bar is now available in KLIA2 and Paradigm Mall, Johor Bahru. It is the perfect food that we can consume during breakfast or tea time.
#5 Ujicha
Ujicha is a Japanese dessert shop that provides cake, soft serve ice cream, kakigori, tea, and mochi made from Japanese Green Tea. It is now available at 1 Utama, The Starling Mall, Paradigm Mall, Johor Paradigm Mall, and gateway@KLIA2. This is the best place to have tea time and chill while waiting for your flight.
#6 Dream Color
Dream Color is originally known as Dream Cool in Taiwan. Some of us might afraid of ‘colour drinks’ and try to avoid drinking them. However, Dream Color can literally help you in drinking ‘colour drinks’ without any worries. It is made up of 100% Butterfly Pea flowers combined with teas and juices. This is a colour free, caffeine free, and preservative free beverages. It has a few series which consists of butterfly series, cloud series, fruit series and tea series.
These are some of the food and beverage places in KLIA2 that definitely can cure your boredom! *Shhhhh* They are all Instagram-worthy places that being a hipster or cool kids must check-in!
