What is Guasha? Where does it originated? How does it work?
The word ‘Gua Sha’ was originated from a Chinese word, where ‘Gua’ means scrapping and ‘Sha’ means sand. Combining it, the meaning would be ‘skin scrapping‘ and it is a technique that originated since hundred years ago in China as a form of treatment. Practitioners would perform it by using a flat quartz stone as a massage tool and oil as a lubricant to apply pressures and scrape over the skin in upward strokes to relax stiff muscles, muscle pains and promote microcirculation of the soft tissue that would increase your blood circulation. It is indeed an intense kind of massaging as your skin will end up with bruises and redness and these are called the ‘Sha’. Ancient Chinese also believes that this treatment would help in reducing and healing inflammation within the body or known as body heat.

What are the benefits or immediate effects that you can see after using this Gua Sha tool?
As you start using this massage tool, your face will feel more relaxed and sculpted than the previous. The reason behind this is because the massaging step has helped your skin to promote lymphatic drainage, which would depuff your face, release tension and enhance the feature. Other than that, your skin will also become more glowy, vibrant and smoother as when you have better blood circulation.
If you’ve been trying to get rid of your double chin, PLEASE, also start using it and here’s why:
