It really doesn’t matter what anyone wants to call it- a hotdog, a sausage between bun; we all love hot dogs. Let’s put the name debate aside and just enjoy some hotdogs.
1. Gourmet Hotdog Café
If you go to The Curve a lot, you’ve probably passed by this place which is located right beside Dip&Dip. It’s a proper hotdog place with many selection of condiments to choose from. If you don’t know which dog to try out first, try their Memphis Blue hotdog, great for cheese lovers and those who love to take pretty pictures of their food.
2. 1901 Hot Dogs
This is probably the earliest hotdog stand vendor to arrive in Malaysia, being there for us through thick and thin. They offer the best hotdogs from the US; the Chicago Beef, Minnesota Chicken and their classic Dog on a stick, Soakin’ Ted.
3. A&W
One can never deny that as a Malaysian, A&W will always have a special place in all our hearts. They were one of the earliest fast food joints in Malaysia, and the famous Coney Dog is definitely everyone’s must-have with it’s rich sauce, tender meat and crunchy onions. Yaaas.
4. Buns & Meat
Looking for something a little more cultured? Then grab some dogs from this place. Their BBQ Pork Ribs are to die for, and if you want something more, try their Pork Loaded Pizzas or the Gourmet Pork Burgers and Hotdogs – of course.
5. Hotodogu @ Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya
This Japanese-Western food service concept that specialises in combining quick meals and a café chic experiences serves premium and delicious gourmet hotdogs and rice burgers made to order and served fresh.
6. Nathan’s Famous
It is unsurprising that Nathan’s Famous is on this list. Coming all the way from Coney Island, their menu features their signature beef frankfurters, crinkle cut French fries with all kinds of toppings. You can also get absolutely refreshed by their freshly squeezed lemonades and pair it with their Philly cheesesteaks, cheeseburgers, chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, Alaskan Pollock fish fillet sandwiches and so many more.
