On Thursday, Trump administration has added Chinese technology company, Huawei, to a trade blacklist.
This blow to Huawei makes it very difficult has caused Google to pull out its Android licensing, making future-models of Huawei phones unable to have access to Google Play Store and Google Play Protect.
Though, current holders of Huawei smartphones will still be able to use Google apps, however, updates and new features will no longer be made available for Huawei users.

“Huawei will only be able to use the public version of Android and will not be able to get access to proprietary apps and services from Google,” the source said.
“Huawei Technologies Co Ltd will immediately lose access to updates to the Android operating system, and the next version of its smartphones outside of China will also lose access to popular applications and services including the Google Play Store and Gmail app,” – Reuters
Specific services that will be affected by this sudden suspension are still to be confirmed, as it is being discussed at Google.
