Throwback to the good old days of internet dial-up, laggy connections and pixelated graphics – indeed we’re back to the early Y2K. Growing up in the early booming days of digital age, we all have a collection of childhood games that kept us company during many after-school hours, since computer games are something people still love and adored.
Experiencing a bit of a fuzzy memory? Let’s take a look back at these few iconic hits and spot your favourite!
1. Maple Story

Deemed as a classic past-time for just about school-going kid back in the days, Maple Story boasts a simplistic side scrolling layout of a role-playing game. From building your own characters with different occupations to joining quests in fighting off monsters, there’s literally nothing you CAN’T do in this universe.
2. Need for Speed: Underground

Who remembers spending hours pimping their car?
The seventh and arguably one of the more iconic installments in the hugely popular Need for Speed franchise, NFS: Underground comes fully amped with an intriguing storyline and garage mode where players can customize their car for added engine boost and street aesthetics.
A step away from the glitz-filled visuals of cop chases and expensive rides from the previous NFS games, this particular edition highlights vehicle customization and import kits that delivers excellent track performance as well. Complete with a head-banging soundtrack with the likes of Lil’ Jon and Crystal Method, Underground offers an impressively brain-melting ride that’ll leave you breathless for words.
3. Gunbound

Aduka, Nakmachine, A.Sate.
If these three names sound strangely familiar, you must be a fellow Gunbound fanatic. A turn-based, room-by-room gameplay, this nostalgic online multiplayer game boasts five engrossing modes namely Solo, Tag, Score, Jewel, and Powerball. Now, this ain’t like your usual point and shoot games – players fire artillery by meticulous aim and eventually hitting the spacebar.
Far from being a bore, one of the main selling points of Gunbound would be how players get to experiment with different mobiles in order to find one to their liking. From the deadly Dragon (if you’re lucky enough to get it) to the hilariously amateur Raonlauncher (think shooting bomb babies that crawl), there’s no shame in admitting the hours spent just to perfect your shooting angle.
4. Counter Strike

A huge majority of Valorant players come from Counter Strike, it’s not uncommon for a person switching to Valorant to look up a csgo to valorant sens converter online. Arguably the O.G of FPS (first person shooter) games, the first installment of C.S. had numerous critics hailing the game for its simplistic yet engrossing gameplay. Players have the option of several missions, most notably for bomb defusal, hostage rescue, and assassination. With numerous maps to choose from, the objective is pretty straightforward – complete the mission and/or eliminate the opposing team. The fact that you can just play the game and earn a lot of money by trading in-game items attracted a lot of attention, and, over the years, CS:GO trading has become huge.

A massive multiplayer game that took the world by storm when it first came out back in 2002, R.O. enjoyed much critical success – so much so until it spawned an animated series and a follow-up sequel, Ragnarok Online 2: Legend of the Second. Players explore a series of maps from sandy dunes to mysterious forests inhabited by native monsters while battling opponents to upgrade their job levels.
