It’s hard for people to give up plastic straw especially when dining out. Now that our beloved McDonald’s has hopped into the bandwagon, it’s either we get used to the fact that our lipsticks will be ruined after every Happy Meal, or we start packing our own straws. Here’s 5 ways that we can do to replace plastic straws:
1. Stainless Steel Straw
Stainless steel straws are always sturdy, BPA free and rust-free. You should use it instead of plastic straws because it’s reusable and durable. When you buy the stainless steel straw, it comes together with a set of cleaning brushes and pouch too so you can bring them anywhere with you and make your life more easier!
2. Bamboo Straws
Bamboo Straw is now joining us in our zero waste effort! You can get it online and there’s one even found in Sabah! It’s entirely handmade and you can reuse it as many time as you want.
3. Glass Straw
This is definitely a life-changer because it’s made of glass! This is a worthy of your consideration if you want to sip with class! For recommended to those who are clumsy because it’s made of glass, after all 🙂
4. Water bottle or reusable cup with straw
If you are too lazy to bring straw along with you, how about bringing a bottle with a straw in it?
5. No Straw
Of course, if you want to go green, it’s so much better for you not to use any straws to begin with. You can always opt for hot drinks (cold drinks is bad for your health, but that’s a separate topic altogether).
Let’s start with a small movement by saying“NO” to plastic straws to make our world a better place!
