What a blasting news from the YouTube celeb!
Felix Arvid Ulf Kjellberg, or more known for his YouTube diminutive, “PewDiePie”, tied the knot with Italian ex-Beauty Vlogger, Marzia Bisognin on August 19th!
The pair tied the knot at a private, beautiful ceremony at London, witnessed by only family members and close friends. “19th August” marks a memorable date for the newlyweds as it marks exactly 8 years since the couple has met. What a milestone!
You would be living under a rock if you’ve never heard of PewDiePie!
Some may know him as the 29-year-old Swedish gamer from his iconic “Let’s Play” gaming commentaries, while some would also know him for his controversial slurs and contents (to which, he has sincerely apologized for) – either way, we can’t deny that PewDiePie has made a significant mark in the YouTube world (with over 99 million YouTube subscribers to date!). Check out these 6 milestones the infamous YouTuber has achieved:
1. He was named as the wealthiest YouTuber

Since his humble beginnings from 2010, to which he has garnered over a million subscribers in a short span of two years, PewDiePie was declared as the “Wealthiest YouTube Creator” in December 2016, having accumulated $15 million earnings from June 2015 to June 2016.
2. Reigning Third Most Popular Channel on YouTube in 2019
This isn’t the first time PewDiePie has landed a spot as the Most Popular YouTube channel. In 2013, PewDiePie topped Justin Bieber, One Direction, Taylor Swift, and Rihanna with 11.941 million subscribers and over 2.2 billion views, making the Swedish gamer the most popular YouTuber that year.
3. His book became the bestseller in 2015
PewDiePie also went ahead to publish his own book in 2015 titled “This Book Loves You”: an illustrated book with uplifting quotes and motivations. The book immediately became the bestseller just within six months of its release.
4. A game about YouTubers
Ever wondered what it would be like to be a YouTuber? Well, PewDiePie & Outermind’s Tuber Stimulator and PewDiePie: Legend Of The Brofist lets you have a glimpse into the world of YouTube celebs! The 2D games showed a great success, topping the App’s Store Top Game just within a month since it’s release (PewDiePie’s Tuber Stimulator), and accumulating over $100, 000 in 2015 (PewDiePie: Legend Of The Brofist).
5. He had a huge downfall in his YouTube career in 2017
Since the release of PewDiePie’s controversial video of two men carrying the “Death To All Jews” banner in 2017, PewDiePie’s YouTube career went spiralling down with Disney cancelling web series “Scare PewDiePie” and YouTube removing him from premium advertising.
However, the YouTube star has publicly apologized and taken down the controversial video.
6. He had a YouTube network called “Revelmode”
PewDiePie has also gathered like-minded YouTubers in his network, in partnership with Disney’s Maker Studios, called “Revelmode”. The YouTube network has raised funds for several causes, including Charity: Water and Save The Children. Unfortunately, it was shut down since PewDiePie’s controversial video in 2017.
