Avolatte aka avocado latte is a new trend now and we’re dead curious to find out how is it like! When we thought we’ve seen it all, then here comes a rather “weird” food combination. It is basically latte served in an avocado shell, and it is inspired by a coffee shop in Melbourne.
Besides discovering the Avolatte, here’s a few food that goes really well with avocado!
1. Avocado toast
This is a simple and nutrient-packed power breakfast especially to those who want to combat their hunger pangs for a longer period of time. Slater a good amount of avocado spread onto your toast (preferably wholemeal loafs) with a pinch of salt and pepper for flavoring!
2.Avocado banana smoothie
Chewing is not your things? How bout leaving em’ job to your blender? Add a whole avocado with some bananas and boy you’re set for a great day ahead! Not only these combo is a good breakfast option, you can even have it as mid-day snacks especially for gym goers.
3.Baked Egg in Avocado
Zero waste is the “it” thing right now so instead of tossing em’ avo shell into the bin, how bout using them as your vessel for baked eggs? You can also add bacon bits,, sausage and ham into it as well! Serve them in a bed of salad and there you have, a healthy meal that even your mom will be super proud of you! “wink wink*
4. Avocado Chicken Salad
Don’t feel like having carbs for dinner? Avocado and chicken salad is always a good substitute for a lazy night. The best thing about this is that you can make it a in large portion and chill them in your fridge until you’re ready to consume them!
5. Avocado Chicken & Tomato Wrap
If you have some leftovers from your avocado chicken salad, switch things up by adding some tomatoes into the mix and wrap them inside a tortilla. This is also a brilliant way to enjoy your avocado as you can always wrap them in a cling wrap and have it on-the-go!
This combo is pretty uncommon for us Malaysians but if you’re bored of the regular marinara/carbonara combo (which aren’t exactly diet friendly), you can always add a few slices of avocado for your source of good fatty acid.
7. Avocado Lime Salmon
Now don’t this looks tempting? To those who knows your food, salmon and avocado are both good source of fatty acid so if you’re looking for a wholesome dinner which are beneficial to your skin and overall health, consider whipping this up for dinner as it is simple to prepare as well.
8. Avocado Brownies
Now this is pretty unusual but heck, why now? Please your guests with this combo and we guarantee that they’ll be back for more helpings. According to Google, avocados can be substituted for several ingredients in baking and cooking, such as butter, shortening, eggs, oil, mayonnaise, and sour cream. Some people use avocado as a vegan substitute for these ingredients, but another reason to go with avocado is the increase in nutritional value!
